Technology group at Form is multidisciplinary and focused on
delivering qualified battery cell designs that meet operational
performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from
controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form
Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.We're hiring
an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Cell
Engineering Design team in Berkeley, CA. In this role, you will
design components and assemblies for fluid handling systems
critical to our iron-air battery cell design. You will drive the
analysis and requirements definition for fluid handling components,
with an emphasis on managing mixed-phase flow. Subsequently, you
will own the component and assembly designs that meet requirements,
from concept to high volume production. Critically, this role will
require hands-on verification testing to prove that fluid handling
systems meet all requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to
process specification for sheet metal forming and welding
operations in critical manufacturing processes. You will bring
expertise in analysis and design of fluid handling systems, with a
solid foundation in fluid mechanics. Experience with computational
fluid dynamics (CFD) and mixed-phase flow is a plus. This is an
exciting opportunity to be part of scaling our multi-day energy
storage system at Form and contributing to a sustainable
