Technology: WHO WE ARE What You Will Do: As a Principal Mechanical
Packaging Engineer, you will be an integral part of team that
develops creative mechanical solutions for standard and custom
electronic packages using AutoCAD and feature-based parametric
modeling tools such as SolidWorks Utilize thermal design practices
and tools to analyze and develop mechanical solutions for
challenging thermal environments Utilize structural design
practices to analyze and develop mechanical solutions for
environments that include shock and vibrational conditions Work
effectively in multi-disciplinary teams Develop and maintain
mechanical engineering drawings and other supporting documentation
(parts lists, etc.) Utilize strong teamwork and communication
skills Apply technical expertise to provide imaginative, thorough,
practicable, and organizationally aligned solutions to a wide range
of mechanical packaging challenges Up to 10% Travel expected
Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience. Electro-mechanical
packaging design background for assemblies and systems Experience
in mechanical analysis to meet environmental requirements Working
experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD tools Working experience
with thermal and structural analysis tools such as Ansys,
SolidWorks Flow or IcePak Experience providing reliable mechanical
cost/schedule estimates supporting proposal development activities
Leadership experience in working with teams in design,
implementation, integration, and test activities; including
planning, estimating, and managing execution to meet schedule and
cost targets The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government
issued Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) with polygraph security clearance is
required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are
eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to perform thermal design and using appropriate thermal
analysis tools Ability to perform structural FEA for static,
vibration, and shock loading using appropriate structural analysis
tools Ability to develop and manage project cost and schedule at
the task level Working knowledge of both Military and Industrial
specifications Familiarity with EMI, EMC, and reliability
specifications Working experience with military avionics Experience
with aircraft integration and airborne environmental requirements
analysis and verification Existing TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good
faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
