About the Opportunity
The Business Partnerships Manager reports to the Director of Sales
and Experiences and will develop and execute the strategy to drive
revenue through the Academy's business partners. This position
manages the Academy's business partnerships and is accountable for
achieving the budgeted commission revenue from the business partner
areas.

This position is based in San Francisco, California. Staff are
currently expected to work from the Academy offices at least 2-3
times per week, which may fluctuate based on business needs. Please

About the Sales and Experiences Team:
The Sales and Experiences Department is responsible for developing,
managing and implementing guest programs that help enhance our
museum guest experience and engage guests in a unique way. Our goal
is to create experiences that deepen our guests' engagement with
our museum and in turn our mission.
Key Responsibilities
-Drive revenue for Academy through account management of ; business
partners including but not limited to retail, food and beverage,
locker rental, planetarium distributors, photos concessions and
VR.
-Achieve annual revenue goals in assigned business areas
-Responsible for selling licenses for Academy planetarium shows via
distributors and direct sales to domestic and international
planetariums to achieve annual revenue goal
-Research, develop and present plans for new business partner
revenue opportunities
-Ensure partners' products and services are aligned with Academy
brand and service standards and follow all Academy guidelines and
procedures
-Manage assigned projects and programs associated with food service
concessions, photo concessions and retail stores
-Conduct quarterly performance reviews of all business areas versus
contractual standards and terms and oversee partner monthly revenue
reconciliation and reporting
-Coordinate and participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly
partner business meetings with key management staff
-Coordinate various ad hoc sales reports, financial and revenue
spreadsheets and activity summaries for internal reviews and sales
planning
-P&L responsibility: Develop and track l revenue budgets to
project Academy annual commission in business partner areas
-Maintain electronic client database (CRM) and internal filing
systems for position's assigned business area and various
department/key projects & initiatives
-Follow all Academy safety regulations
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience and/or Education:
-5+years account management, business management, or partnership
management experience required
-Sales experience required
-Restaurant or hospitality management related experience
required
Skills and Abilities:
-Ability to drive revenue and achieve business goals through
partnership management
-Advanced experience with Google Suite, business applications,
Excel and creating reports and presentations
-Efficient, proactive, resourceful and extremely well organized
-Demonstrated ability to quickly problem solve, troubleshoot, and
work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-Works efficiently and communicates with all staff and external
customers
-Ability to bring new ideas, create inventive solutions and find
efficiencies to transform manual or detailed processes
-Able to manage multiple projects with variable timelines
effectively

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary will vary based on experience and relevant
skills/knowledge set. The Academy offers a total compensation
package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits
based on the hours per week worked.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
