Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Oakland, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,247 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Oakland, California, 94609! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 3 years of ICU nursing experience, 6 months of travel experience License: Active Registered Nurse License in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 3 years of ICU experience - Travel experience required - Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: Registered Nurse needed for an ICU role. The candidate must possess a valid California Registered Nurse license. All applicants must have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The role requires managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Experience with ECMO and care post-GI surgery is essential. Candidates must be capable of handling continuous IV paralytics and managing neuromuscular blockade. Knowledge of hypothermia protocols and the Arctic Sun device is expected. The RN will assist with vent management, including BiPAP and CPAP. Skills in phlebotomy and interpretation of dysrhythmias are necessary. Experience in obtaining 12-lead EKGs is required. The RN will manage blood product administration and central line care. Continuous IV sedation and administration of emergency medications will be expected. Candidates must have experience with CVA and acute stroke management. The RN will care for patients on ventilators and high flow nasal cannula. Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions is a must. The daily census is expected to be between 16-20 patients. The RN may float to other units based on patient care needs. The weekly requirements include every other weekend coverage.
