Duties and Responsibilities:Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction to participants to help them achieve their goals; instruction may be community based, on-site or provided virtually.Utilize appropriate modification techniques to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans to increase engagementOversee case management and all related documentation and reportsSupervise and assist participants during volunteer activities, paid work, classes, and other community activitiesResponsible for travel training participants using public transportation and the safety and well-being of participants while out on community outingsParticipate in agency functions and attend case management meetingsMaintain professional relationships and provide excellent customer service with external parties, families, care givers, and participantsDrive agency vehicles as neededTransport participants to activities and events; provide route service as neededOther duties as assignedHiring Requirements:Valid California Driver's License/IDProof of negative TB test resultsVerification of physical clearancePassing a criminal fingerprint clearance18 years of age or job permit clearanceProof of Covid-19 VaccinationPhysical Activity:Accommodations made upon request to Human Resources---Ability to physically respond to adults with developmental disabilities---Ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed---Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently---Ability to walk for extended periods of time and support adults with developmental disabilities on community outings---Ability to drive company vehicles to transport participants---Ability to sit and keyboard as neededEqual Employment OpportunityAbilityPath is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
