Job Description:
The HR Coordinator I is to report to the HR Operations Manager
and support the Human Resources department. They will administer
employee health/welfare plans, provide administrative support,
assist with time and attendance and on-boarding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain ADP HRIS and ensures integrity of HR information (i.e.
employee benefits, information, forms, etc.)
- Handles background checks and reference verifications
- Answers general questions regarding payroll, timecards,
benefits, W4s
- Process paperwork (i.e. new hire packets, benefits, salary,
title or other employee status change)
- Run and create reports from ADP HRIS as requested
- Enter and maintain on-boarding/off-boarding information in
Sapling software.
- Assist HR Operations Manager with updating policies and
procedures
- Reconciles monthly benefit invoices
- Communicates messages to appropriate personnel in an accurate
and timely manner
- Documents all schedule changes and completes entry of changes
into ADP system
- Check assigned department time cards to ensure accuracy
- Answers all incoming phone calls pertaining to schedules and
timecards with accurate information. Directs to appropriate
personnel
- Maintain accurate employee data in the ADP system
- Review discrepancies on timecard submissions and give
verification/authorization as justified
- Assists with specials projects as requested
- Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Prior experience in creating and maintaining employee
schedules
- 1+ year HR experience
- Basic knowledge of local, state, and federal law
- Basic knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, COBRA
- Experienced with using HRIS
- Basic knowledge of payroll operations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work with all levels of staff
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be a self starter and takes initiatives
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential
matters
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Previous health care experience is a plus
- Experience using ADP HRIS is a plus PHYSICAL:
- Rarely lifting under 10lbs
- Constant ten key typing
- Constant repetitive motions with grasping and holding
- Occasional reaching over the shoulders
- Constant sitting
- Occasional bending and walking LANGUAGE:
- Must be able to fluently read, write and speak English
- Ability to speak Chinese ( Cantonese or Mandarin) is an
asset
STATUS:
This is an FLSA Non-exempt position.
This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
