Kelly Services is currently seeking an individual for the role of an Experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for our client in Salt Lake City, Utah location. Their small but highly capable maintenance team is seeking a technician that is able to be versatile and willing to jump in to help with anything that needs to be done in order to meet deadlines. Direct hire - Full timeThe schedule is a day shift, Monday through Friday. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of our manufacturing facilities and machinery to maximize performance. This position supports production efforts to meet/exceed daily targets by ensuring that production and plant equipment is well maintained, perform routine planned maintenance and assure down time is minimized. The technician performs a variety of general facility maintenance activities and coordinates contractors to fix and maintain mechanical equipment and machines. Responsibilities: --? --- Maintains and repairs all production equipment including preventive maintenance (oil changes, filter replacement). --? --- Performs mechanical repairs (such as pump rebuilds, electrical component replacement, etc.). --? --- Provides support to all departments on facilities-related matters such as plumbing, painting, electrical, and hydraulics systems, etc. --? --- Specifies and orders required repair parts and supplies. --? --- Schedules major equipment and electrical repairs with appropriate supervision. --? --- Follows all safety procedures and guidelines including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); conduct routine maintenance and safety checks. --? --- Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Ensures city, county, state and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all time. --? --- Interacts and coordinates with all departments. --? --- Responsible for allocated workload and meets all targets as agreed with Supervisor. --? --- Flexibility to be able to work from one project to a different one with short notice. --? --- Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 75 pounds; lift 50 pounds regularly. --? --- Must have ability to stand, bend, kneel and move around for hours at a time. --? --- Maintains a clean and safe work environment which includes a well-organized maintenance shop, including keeping spare parts inventory accurate. Qualifications: --? --- 5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment preferred --? --- High school graduate or GED equivalent, technical college and/or certification a plus. --? --- Mechanically inclined. --? --- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills using a methodical problem-solving approach. --? --- Thorough understanding of the manufacturing environment, requirements and dynamics. --? --- Background in general building maintenance --? --- Interpersonal, organizational and communications skills required. --? --- Basic working knowledge of computer software, e.g., word processing, email and spreadsheets. --? --- Work unsupervised, be a self-starter and a quick learner. --? --- Remain calm under pressure and able to react to time sensitive repairs.
