Job Description:

The IT Manager is a hands-on manager who is able to manage the day-to-day IT operations. The IT Manager will also provide strategic and visional plans to the organization and also work closely with management team and external parties (vendors and business partners) to achieve the goal.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops technology solutions by assembling staff, vendor, and service resources to evaluate, design, test,

install, and maintain hardware, applications, systems software and communication network, preparing technology

introduction, information and system conversion, and human/technology integration programs.

  • Responsible for ongoing operations of computing resources throughout the company desktop, server, etc. This

responsibility includes the maintaining and supporting the company's LAN, WAN, Internet, Web Services and

portal, and telecommunications infrastructure to ensure continuous, 24x7, company-wide operations, including

backup and Disaster-Recovery.

  • Directs and selects systems and applications software and computing hardware equipment necessary to meet

business requirements and in accordance with current and latest technology standards. Responsible for the

upcoming selection of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Establishes daily, weekly, and monthly schedule and priorities for department operations. This includes

managing activities of working peers and of subordinates, estimating scope of effort, schedules, and monthly

reporting on the progress of on-going projects.

  • Develops IT operational policies and procedures as well as internal documentation.
  • Directs development and operations to ensures compliance of external reporting systems and provide timely

reports to regulatory and/or grant agencies.

  • Meets data security requirements under HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for the functional integrity of the company's email system to ensure continuous daily operations and

filtering out inappropriate email.

  • Recruits, directs, recommends, and trains IT personnel. Evaluates the performance of direct reports. Motivates

and counsels department personnel for optimal performance and provides career development guidance.

  • Familiarity with telecommunications (PBX) systems and standards, particularly to ensure continuous daily

operations at all company sites. This includes knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP), Automatic Call Distributions

(ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and Computer Telephone Integration (CTI) technologies.

  • Performs other assigned duties as assigned by Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of work experience with Healthcare Information System technologies and knowledge of technical

support requirements in an enterprise-wide environment of distributed computing hardware and software

resources.

  • At least 1 year experience managing staff and operations of an Information System applied in a health care

environment.

  • Direct, hands-on experience with IT Infrastructure and Technology.
  • Requires knowledge of project management methodologies, project management software tools, problem

identification and process improvement strategies, and experience managing cross-functional resources.

  • Familiarity with telecommunications (PBX) systems and standards, particularly to ensure continuous daily

operations at all company sites. This includes knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP), Automatic Call Distributions

(ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and Computer Telephone Integration (CTI) technologies.

  • Knowledge of complex database architectures and systems such as MS SQLServer Platform, data warehouse

models, and methodologies for extracting data management reports is highly preferred

  • Experience with web solutions and knowledge of web development tools and methodologies is a plus
  • High energy individual eager to be the point person for technical support of key customers.
  • Excellent listener, proven collaborator with superiors, peers and staff. Excellent verbal and written communication

skills.

  • Must be a team player.
  • Comfortable working in time critical situations.

STATUS:

This is an FLSA Exempt position.

This is an OSHA at risk position.
