This position has a full salary range of $45,000- $65,000 per year with eligibility for a quarterly bonus. Starting salary is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience and performance.Summary:The Sales Representative will work in Natural Food and Specialty Food Retailers representing a portfolio of organic/natural food brands. The Sales Representative is responsible for driving growth for a portfolio of brands. The Sales Representative will drive growth through selling into key natural retailers, developing strategic relationships, managing brand development/execution, and leveraging data to support product presentation. Existing relationships with natural, specialty and independent retailers as well as working knowledge of UNFI/Kehe/DPI and other regionally based distribution companies is preferred.The Benefits:Competitive pay with eligibility for yearly merit-based salary increases.Eligible for a quarterly bonus.Driving reimbursement.Comprehensive benefits package including partially company-paid medical insurance, and fully company-paid dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.401(k) plan.Three weeks of Paid Time Off per year.In addition to Paid Time Off, 11 paid holidays plus one additional floating holiday.An exceptional company culture with opportunities for engagement and growth.The Role:Merchandising:Achieve highest level of presentation for all represented brands throughout the storeExecute on placement/product goals on behalf of our brandsResponsible for receiving and distributing various vendor samples, POS materials and swagSales:Represent brands by sharing brand pricing, promotions and negotiating incremental placements with retailersAbility to utilize sales and brand collateral to perform sales tasks with the goal to grow brands and expand portfolios within each accountPresent new items and lead successful product launchesCreate programming that drives success for the retailer and grows share and profitability for our partnersMaintain detailed sales tracking tools so that status notes are up to date for each clientComplete needed follow up for retail partners including: turnover forms, sell sheets, sample distribution and necessary follow up for each brandParticipate in client meetings and give updates on agreed KPI'sAttend trade shows/table tops and meetings to support the growth of clientsCommunications/Relationship Building:Responsible for establishing, growing and maintaining in all accounts with key decision makers at retailers.Regular communication with in-store decision makers on products orders, upcoming promotional activity, new product SKUs and opportunities to expand current product or brand selection.Responsible for clear and effective communication with leadership, other Team Members of the team and brand management.Reporting:Report on in-store actions and metrics via a mobile app.Provide real-time information to leadership to troubleshoot or communicate a brand's statusStore/Team Member Support:Be of service to support in-store team members whenever the opportunity presents itselfAssist in delivery pack-outs, display building, resets, and/or any other task that may or may not include brands within the Dirty Hands regional portfolioQualifications/Requirements:3 to 5 years of sales experience working for a merchandiser, national broker, or CPG with experience/existing relationships in the natural channelDemonstrated or established relationships with CPG brands or retailers is preferred.Results driven - a demonstrated record of success developing and exceeding annual sales objectivesThe ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering resultsDevelop relationships with to achieve performance objectives within the stores in a geographic territoryStrong verbal and written communicationExcellent customer service, presentation, and active listening skills.Ability to work independently and determine prioritiesMust have reliable form of transportationMust have a valid driver's license, proof of current auto insurance and be able to drive a car for extended periods of timeMust be willing to drive for daily travel - approximately 5,000 miles or more per yearCapable of meeting the physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion and lifting 40-50 pounds unassisted.Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores)Must have functioning smartphoneComputer skills including MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
