Job Description:
**JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:**
This opportunity is with Boeing's Crew Space Transportation
(CST)-100 Starliner spacecraft. The Starliner is a next-generation
space capsule that will take people to and from low-Earth
orbit.
Successful candidate should have interest or experience with
Electronic Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and development of
Model Based Instructions (MBI). This Entry Level Manufacturing
(Electrical/Electronics) Engineer positions will reside in Kennedy
Space Center, Florida.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Integrates producibility and manufacturability knowledge,
information and requirements into the acquire and define program
phases as the designated Integrated Product Team (IPT)
interface.
- Conceptualizes, designs and manages the program architecture for
build.
- Defines, develops and implements the manufacturing plan and
represents the program as the primary manufacturing integrator
throughout the acquire, define, produce and support phases of the
product life cycle.
- Develops advanced manufacturing and engineering technologies and
advocates, teaches and deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis
methods and application of lean processes and tools.
- Interfaces with regulatory agencies, professional associations,
suppliers and internal and external customers to implement program
initiatives.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate
will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location
options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent
resident, refugee, or asylee.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILL/EXPERIENCE):**
- Possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree
from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer
science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by May 2022
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):**
- Academic experience with LEAN principles
- Academic experience in manufacturing principles
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, problem solving and
improvement projects.
- Ability to collaborate with both the engineering workforce and
mechanics on the factory floor.
- Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL databases
- Experience in Assembly/Installation Engineering
- Experience in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
**Successful candidate may have interest or experience with some or
all of the following:**
- Avionics Boxes
- Electronic Boxes / Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
- Harness Installation and Hi-pot and Continuity Checkout
- Electrical acceptance test and checkout
- Interest or experience with Electronic Manufacturing Execution
Systems (MES)
- Interest with development of Model Based Instructions (MBI)
**TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience.
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard. Minimum educational requirements
to be met no later than May 2022.
**RELOCATION:**
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this
position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at
their own expense.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
