Job Description:

are looking for a Business Development Director to join our Life
Sciences West Coast team. Our Life Sciences team has the capability
to offer staffing and solutions-based services for every step of
the biopharma clinical trial process, as well as for critical
support providers like CDMO and analytical labs. We have the
capability to provide the talent and guidance necessary to succeed
- from early research through FDA approval and beyond. What you get
to do: This position is responsible for identifying and generating
new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls,
prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship
building. This position is accountable for focusing on and
generating business through new sales in primarily large size
accounts. This position will also deal most frequently with senior
management within the client’s organization. Develop process,
strategy, and skills to improve sales productivity; leader by
example particularly in the area of production; manage sale and
delivery of products/services to achieve agreed end result;
implement business plan; multi-site management; budget/forecast
management; foster strategic alliances, business partnerships, and
relationships with key clients - Collaborate with management for
goals and objective achievement - Interface with appropriate field
management to establish pricing for quotes and bids that are
consistent with the company’s financial objectives - Exceed client
satisfaction with service delivery - Under $50 million revenue
(combined revenue for all sites) - Develop and implement an
effective sales plan to meet or exceed established sales objectives
for large size accounts - Generally accomplishes results through
middle level managers. Determines and establishes organizational
structure and supervisory relationships subject to top management
approval. - May manage and direct Account Representatives and/or
Manager, Business Development positions - Responsible for the
successful operation of multi-functional activities of significance
to the organization. Rarely becomes involved in the complexities of
day to day operational problems, is more concerned to see that
overall strategic intent and performance standards are set and
attained - Perform appropriate prospecting and screening activities
to identify qualified prospects for new business development - Use
the consultative sales strategy to effectively overcome client
objections and maximize sales activity within assigned territory -
Make formal sales presentations and Follow-up calls to prospective
new business accounts - Erroneous decisions or recommendations
would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major
objectives of the organization and would seriously affect the
financial, associate, or public relations posture of the company -
Represents the organizational unit as prime internal or customer
contact or contract or operations. Conducts briefings and technical
meeting for top management and customer representatives. Interacts
with equivalent level inter-organizational managers concerning
matters of significance to the company. - Establish and maintain
good public relations and networking within the community to
develop new business - Collaborate with appropriate internal
resources to develop comprehensive sales presentation materials
tailored to the account - Collaborate with internal service staff
to ensure that accounts sold are consistent with service resources
and candidate pool What you need to bring: - 5 – 7 years of
staffing industry business development experience - Professional
work experience within Life Sciences or related field is required -
Successful track record of selling large size accounts with
demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts or
projects - Experience presenting to C-level executives - Superior
consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring
skills - Must be detail oriented with a concern for quality
expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
- Experience describing and documenting project or client
requirements - Bachelor's degree is required and additional
education is highly preferred - Proficiency using Google mail,
